Crime at 17:10 p.m. Report on the Attacks by the Israeli Zionist Regime and the United States on Lamerd Stadium (February 28 2026)
On February 28 2026 (9 Esfand 1404) during joint attacks by the United States and the Israeli Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran the Lamerd Stadium in Fars province and its surrounding areas were targeted by four new generation PrSM missiles. Due to the nature of the weapon and the time of impact (during peak daytime hours) these attacks resulted in the martyrdom of at least 21 civilians including child athletes and injured 170 others. The effects resulting from the airburst explosion of the missile and the dispersal of 180000 Tungsten fragments across various locations including the children’s sports hall residential areas and other city centers all indicate the deployment of a new missile known as PrSM. According to the rules of international law the deployment of this antipersonnel weapon in residential areas is a flagrant violation of the principles of distinction proportionality and precaution and constitutes a deprivation of individuals right to life. Based on Article 8 of the Rome Statute it is considered an overt war crime.

Statement of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the DPR of Korea on the US aggressive military attack against the territory of Iran
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea strongly condemns in the strongest possible terms the outrageous illegitimate and aggressive military attack launched by the terrorist army of the United States against the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran on September 1 2026 which once again exposed the vicious terrorist and child-killing nature of this regime. This brutal onslaught which resulted in a human catastrophe the massacre of ordinary civilians—especially innocent children—and the bloody tragedy of a local wedding ceremony with more than 68 casualties (martyrs and wounded) adds another stain to the dark record of the US crimes.

Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran on the US armed aggression against Iran
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the US aggressive actions against our beloved homeland on the evening of Tuesday September 1 and emphasizes the determination of the Islamic Republic of Iran to decisively defend Iran’s independence national sovereignty and territorial integrity. In the attack by the American enemy on a wedding party in Kohstak located in Sirik County Hormozgan Province more than 70 compatriots were martyred and injured most of whom were women and children. These brutal war crimes which are considered to be a serious violation of the fundamental principles of international law are reminiscent of previous American-Zionist crimes over the past year and a half including in Minab and Lamerd. In response to the US military aggression the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in accordance with their inherent right of self-defense dealt a crushing blow to the US military bases which were the origin and supporter of the US military aggression against the Iranian nation.

UN experts’ report on US and Israeli military attacks on Minab School
The experts recalled reports that a primary school in Minab was struck twice during school hours on 28 February 2026 killing 168 children and several teachers. According to the information received the school was clearly identifiable as a civilian educational facility and there was no indication that it was being used for military purposes. “Five months following the school bombing in Minab the US and Israel have not made any findings public raising valid questions regarding the impartiality effectiveness and transparency of any investigation that may be underway” the experts said. “Justice delayed is justice denied.” They noted that the attack on the Minab school is the most egregious example of a wider failure by the US and Israel to ensure the protection of civilians during armed conflict including women and children. Characterizing civilian deaths as a mistake does not diminish States obligations under international humanitarian law and international human rights law nor does it preclude individual criminal responsibility where violations have occurred the experts said. Victims and their families are entitled to truth justice and effective reparations.
